Theatre Rehearsal and Performance
Attendance and Safety Protocol

Students will be sent the above link through the theatre remind system so they can answer all the questions in advance of coming to rehearsal or performance. They will not be able to push SUBMIT until they arrive at rehearsal and their temperature is taken by the director to clear them as being okay to participate. Once submitted, their results will be kept on file in an excel spreadsheet.
Questions asked will be as follows:
1.  Are you experiencing any of the following:

Fever? Cough? Shortness of breath? Sore throat?  Had diarrhea?
2.  Have you been in contact or care for anyone with Covid-19 in the past 48 hours?
If any student answers YES to any of the questions, or if their temperature is 100 or above, they will not be able to participate for the day.
A recommendation to the student will be made for him or her to be tested for Covid-19.

Covid plans for co-curricular use of the auditorium/theatre area for the cast/Crew for then Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon
All students will have their temperature checked as the enter the rehearsal space.
All Set, Props, Costume, Lights, and sounds crew (masked) will remain socially distanced when working in their area.
Only ONE person (masked) allowed in the prop room at a time (such a small space).
Only TWO students (masked) will be allowed in the costume room at a time, will maintain social distance at all times
Only TWO students (masked) will be allowed in the Scene Shop – will maintain social distance at all times
Only ONE student (masked) will be allowed in the Light Booth at a time
Only ONE student (masked) will be allowed at the Sound board
The number of students at rehearsal will kept to a minimum; only those who are needed will be allowed to attend, and you must make an appointment with Mrs. Jackson by
emailing her your request.  Please understand that we cannot have every crew here every day - this is limited access only.
All rehearsals are CLOSED; they are for only the cast, crew, and production staff to attend.
For every rehearsal, students will sign in upon arrival with the Director, having filled out the on-line form, have their temperature taken, and then submit their form for electronic documentation.
Masks will be worn at all times, unless drinking water.  Disposable Masks will be provided by the theatre department to anyone who does not have one. If face shields are allowed in addition to or in lieu of masks, they will be provided.
Gloves will be provided to those who need to handle commonly touched items.
Proper handwashing techniques will be enforced, and hand sanitizer will be provided by the theatre department and required to be used often throughout rehearsal.
If a student needs to use the restroom, only one student at a time will be allowed to go after obtaining permission from the director of theatre.
The door closest to the band room will be used to enter the building, and students will use the restrooms nearest the band room. Custodians will be notified of this so that exterior door and restrooms may be cleaned and sanitized after rehearsal.
While inside the auditorium, all students will remain socially distanced. Students will be responsible for bringing their own water bottle that can be easily labeled or distinguished from others.
Students will have or be provided with scripts, pencils, and highlighters that are not to be shared.
Any set pieces/props touched by anyone will be sanitized at the end of rehearsal with appropriate cleaner by the theatre director wearing approved PPE.
Other theatre rehearsal and performance safety protocols will be as follows:
In the present phase, rehearsals will be held remotely, with only crew being allowed inside.
When we move to the next phase and are in-building, we  could rehearse safely in the SHS Auditorium following strict protocols.
Performance(s)
The performance will be videotaped via Zoom and will be edited. The show will be produced with streaming rights purchased, and DVD’s will be made available to the cast and crew for archival and portfolio purposes only. Any costumes worn will be laundered following the taping. A DVD will be offered for sale to each student for archival and/or portfolio
